I worked with Jamie at Crystal Palace and took so much personally from working alongside him. His attention to detail and determination to improve every single player was a privilege to see.

The development of young players in this country is of the utmost importance right from grassroots level through to professional academies. Having worked with Jamie Waller for nearly 2 years when I was the Lead Youth Development Phase Coach at the West ham United Academy, Jamie proved to be an enthusiastic, forward thinking coach who had an holistic approach to developing each player he worked with. Jamie’s sessions were always well organised, progressive and fun which is why I am happy promoting the Unique FA Academy.

More recently i have worked with Jamie to secure three Unique Academy players scholarships in the USA offering them the chance to continue their playing career whilst combining further education. “I had heard all sorts of good stuff about Jamie Waller, before he took me under his wing back as an under 13, and it was only 30 seconds into my first training session with him when I began to understand what everyone was raving about! Jamie helped me through probably the hardest time I’ve ever had as a footballer. All his sessions were planned exquisitely & every tactic seemed just right. His banter was the stand-out thing about him though and, even a few years on, he’s still able to have a laugh and a joke with the lads – but don’t get me wrong, if you step out of line he’ll tell you. But he naturally has that balance that lots of other coaches have to work for years to perfect!

We have been working closely with Jamie Waller and his team at Unique Football Academy since I was heading up the Recruitment and Talent I.D. at Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club Academy.

Jamie and his team are very Professional in every aspect, they give good information, structured, good coaching, prompt, and they are very happy to develop players without holding them back from progressing, he is happy to recommend the players for trials at Professional clubs and he does not stand in the way of their pathway when being approached for trials or games. Jamie has teams across all age groups and he was happy to travel to Brighton from London / Kent so that the players and parents can experience Academy football in a professional relaxed environment at our New state of the art training ground. Having worked with Jamie during my time at Crystal Palace FC I know he has had a big part to play in my development as a Goalkeeper. He’s a very passionate guy who loves to win and has great knowledge of football, which is very important when you’re a young player learning your trade.
